Our Vision
This has been the focus of this ministry and all we are out
for is to empower family and generational leaders for global impact. We are
sent of God to raise a triumphant people:
A people strong in Faith
A people empowered by Wisdom
A people intimate with the Holy Spirit
A people doing exploits for God
Our Mission
Our mission is to establish 300 Million disciples in over
150,000 churches by 2045, if Jesus tarries. Our Passion
We are out to win souls and establish them. To train
millions of souls and disciple them for Jesus, then equip and empower them as
leaders in the church. You are welcome to this great Army!
We are sent with the word of faith and the power of the Holy
Spirit to the families of the earth Our Core Values
1. Intimacy With The Holy Spirit:
There can never be true spirituality without a personal
intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit. We are committed to raising
pastors, leaders and a people who personally know the Holy Spirit. Not as a
theology, but in their personal experiences. Any notable, remarkable and mighty
acts and ministry in life are a direct reflection of the presence, the power
and the blessings of the Holy Spirit.
2. Practical Peace And Holiness:
Salem means peace. This is our Jesus – centered heritage. We
are committed to raising a people who are committed to a life style of peace
and holiness. This is how to serve the Lord here on earth and see God
practically. Hebrews 12:14 says; "Follow peace with all [men], and
holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:"
3. Faith And Wisdom:
Practical spirituality forms the bedrock of our very
existence. We are raising people who are strong in the faith of our Lord Jesus
Christ. A people committed to a life of faith that pleases the Lord. Hebrews
11:6 says; "But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he
that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them
that diligently seek him."
A people committed to a life of practical wisdom that will
guarantee their heritage on earth. Proverbs 9:9-12 says; "Give
[instruction] to a wise [man], and he will be yet wiser: teach a just [man],
and he will increase in learning. The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of
wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy [is] understanding. For by me thy days
shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased. If thou be
wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but [if] thou scornest, thou alone shalt
bear [it]."
We are committed to raising a people who are spiritually
receptive and teachable for that is the mark of Godly wisdom.
4. Confidence and Positive Mentality:
We are raising a people who are expected to exhibit a
carriage, attitude, habits and character, that reflect confidence and dignity
at all levels through the mode of communication, interaction and general
conduct. We are expected to see ourselves as persons of worth and value,
recognizing our uniqueness as individuals with a positive mindset devoid of any
trace of inferiority but a strong belief of who we are in Christ and a strong
belief in this ministry as well as articulating our core purpose as individuals
and a possibility mindedness directed towards its positive achievement and
contribution.
5. Capacity Building:
We are committed to raising a people who themselves show
commitment to a life style of continuous studies and personal development,
striving to be continuously relevant to the overall Vision requirement of the
ministry as well as its core mission, goals and objectives. You must constantly
improve and develop yourself by reading wide, openness to learning new skills
and taking onboard new information is a trait expected of Salemites. Thus, in
order to cause a robustness and depth in the quality of your output in life.
6. Integrity:
A man may rise to the top by craftiness, but only integrity
can keep him at the top. Salemites worldwide are therefore expected to
demonstrate honesty, uprightness and trustworthiness at all times. You must
ensure that you are accountable person, whose word is your bond, transparent
and open in all your dealings and holding truth as a virtue at all times,
particularly in conduct. This is branding the core values of the ministry.
Integrity in matters of conduct in your interaction, relationships and job,
obeying the rules and regulations for leadership is of God, being spiritually
sound, morally upright and having a good conscience.
7. Responsibility:
Doing the right thing at the right time and for the right
reasons is one of the values of life we want Salemites worldwide to hold dear.
We are committed to inculcating a sense of responsibility in ourselves. We
expect you to do what is right at all times. We believe in the place of
discipline for effective leadership, responding to issues as demanded not as
convenient. Salemites are not just permitted to do what they like but what is
right. Punctuality and prompt response to assignments is a markof
responsibility. Doing what is right, not just what you like is a mark of
honour.
8. Diligence:
Only the diligent eventually stand before Kings, therefore,
Salemites worldwide are expected to be strongly committed to a diligent work
life style. We extol the virtues of hard work and deliver qualitative output
and constantly strive towards excellent attainment of high standards in all we
do. We believe that commitment is the greatest qualifier for attainment, hence
our celebration of this trait in preparing Salemites for leadership
responsibilities for generations to come
9. Sacrifice:
Going up requires giving up something. We are raising
Salemites worldwide to know that life is in phases. The phase you are today
requires giving up pursuit of some extra-ordinary pleasure so you can go up in
life and ministry. You are to relax and enjoy the phase that God has brought
you, but pursuits of extra-ordinary pleasure sometimes deny people of real
establishment in life. This is sacrifice. Sacrifice is the ultimate price for
outstanding leadership. It is the quality of sacrifice that defines great
leadership. We therefore expect Salemites worldwide to go the extra-mile,
paying the extra- price in the attainment of their setgoals. Raising an altar
of sacrifice in pursuit of your dreams is what must distinguish and define
Salemites worldwide.
10. Living Ready, Rapturable And Rewardable:
We are raising a people who are not carnal in life and
casual to the Lord. The only way to avoid being a spiritual casualty is to stop
being carnal in the things of the spirit. We are raising a people living ready
for the rapture, working hard for God to be rewarded and living every day with
eternity in mind. This is why we are Salemites.
Our History
Phase 1: July 2nd, 1982
Dr. Sam Amaga received the call into full time ministry at a
time he was hitting the limelight in the management of a leading Pharmaceutical
company in Nigeria, West Africa, in July 1982.
Working for a Pharmaceutical company in Jos, he came to the
office one morning like any other. Standing outside his office, he knew it was
time to leave. He hadn't discussed with his wife yet but she knew he had a call
on his life and was afraid to do anything about it. He tendered his resignation
and left the company. It was such a struggle for him but thank God it happened.
Phase 2: The Years of Preparation 1982 – 1985 August
In response to the call upon his life, the Archbishop
relocated his family to Makurdi where he began part time missionary work where
he was running his business in Makurdi and preaching the word.
The Archbishop and his wife Dr. Love Sam-Amaga were heavily
involved with weekend children's Ministry seminars in churches but 1984
December 31 the day His son was born, He was commissioned into missionary
ministry, however, it was more of outreach and itinerant work.
By August 1985, he moved on missions to Ozoro, the then
Bendel state. He moved by the next week to Igbanke mission field. God used his
servant the Archbishop to raise some abiding fruit from the mission field of
Igbanke who are still abiding in the faith till this day.
Phase 3: The Year 1986 – 1988
It was God incubating us in the wilderness of preparation
again for a great assignment to our world and particularly from the 7th of
March 1986 when the Lord unveiled to me the mission and the mandate of the
ministry we are running today.
Phase 4: June 29th 1988
On this day; it was the day the chariot of the new phase
moved. The Archbishop and his family moved from Ozoro to Port-Harcourt and in
10 years, God moved in His glory in the city of Port-Harcourt. The Lord is
still saving, healing and making many mighty in this commission. It is the
evidence of the Apostolic call on the life of the Archbishop.
The vision he saw about the assignment upon his life was so
real. As preacher and teacher of the Gospel, Archbishop Sam Amaga and his wife
Dr. Love Sam-Amaga have become gifts to the body of our Lord Jesus Christ. They
have and are wholly committed to raising for the Lord an army of people, the
vision was so real
God was raising for himself a great army of people.
Who are strong in Faith
Who are empowered by Wisdom
Who are intimate with the Holy Ghost and...
Who are doing Exploits.
As an example to the church, the Archbishop seeks to live by
the word of God, having his home in order, his children well mannered and
cultured, committed to serving the Lord before whom their father and mother
stand. his wife Dr. Love Sam-Amaga is a teacher of the word by calling. A role
model wife, she is a true mirror of love and care. Her anointing and skills in
counseling ministry has overwhelmingly impacted the marriage life of many,
dispensing healing to many broken hearts and restoration to broken homes.
Archbishop and Dr. (Mrs.) Sam-Amaga are blessed with five
wonderful and anointed children who are now major part of the ministry team.
They are Pastor Covenant, Sam-Amaga, Pastor Joyce Sam-Amaga, Rev Isaiah Sam
Amaga Jnr, Rev. Ezekiella Sam-Amaga and Faith Sam-Amaga.
I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but
God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are
one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. (I
Cor 3:6-8)
Phase 5: The Gateway Church to Nations December 23rd, 1998
In 1998, the work for International missions was beckoning.
A move to Lagos was eminent. And in December that great work where God had
raised thousands of able disciple was handed over to others to run while the
Archbishop moved to Lagos to birth yet another vision, which, stands as the 2nd
phase of this ministry.
The Archbishop and the entire family drove from
Port-Harcourt through Benin visiting the Late Archbishop Benson Idahosa. On the
27th of December 1998, the Archbishop moved the family to Lagos by the leading
of the Holy Ghost, which is what we have come to know as the next missions'
field going on another Apostolic missionary adventure to Lagos and the western
part of Nigeria.
Between 1998 and November 12th 2000, God supernaturally
raised a people and gave this ministry a sizable land in Lekki axis of Lagos.
Both the Headquarter and satellite churches are expanding. Salem International
Christian Centre which is the global church planting of Foundation Faith Church
was established and is expanding. Nations of the earth have opened to this
vision since the move.
Today, Bishop Segun Aina, Bishop Jide Ayangbesan and Bishop
B. O. Jolomi, are the firebrand that took their turns on the solid foundation
that God helped the Archbishop and Dr. Love Sam-Amaga lay in Lagos.
By their apostolic ministry, the Archbishop Sam Amaga and
his wife Dr. Love Sam-Amaga are on apostolic mission to this generation. They
have laid the foundation for many, in ministry, in business, in politics and in
family life.
Archbishop Sam Amaga presides over the network of Foundation
Faith Churches Worldwide.
Phase 6: The Year, 2000
It was the beginning of a new Millennium. There were
palpable fears of computer glitz and major confusion. But when Dr. Love went to
London to have a one week rest, God opened her eyes to see the pitiable
spiritual condition of Europe.
The Lord said to her to;
"say to my servant, you shall have a part in the
revival of Europe."
The Archbishop and Dr. Love Sam-Amaga moved over to London
with Their children yet again to pioneer the beginning work of Europe. Dr. Love
Sam-Amaga was left behind to pastor that church for a while, while the
Archbishop commuted between Lagos and London for monthly programs until some
establishment set in. Bishop Dave Onimisi and the season team of minister are
the firebrand God is using to build on that foundation work in the land. That
work today has grown to become a big diocese spreading through campuses and
nations of Europe. God is simply good and faithful.
The work in Ghana was planted at this stage and many more.
Meanwhile the work in Lagos was growing and expanding into various networks
until the 3rd phase of the mandate came.
The 2nd of December 2007 was a glorious Sunday. The
Archbishop had just finished preaching in Salem International Christian Centre
Lekki, Lagos where he and his wife Dr. Love Sam-Amaga have labored for many
years to raise the work. It was costly particularly that age the Archbishop and
his wife Dr. Love Sam-Amaga where advancing in age however, they want to obey
God in preparation for their next move.
The dispensation of the Apostolic mission to the North and
the Middle Belt of Nigeria was laid on the Archbishop and his wife Dr. Love
Sam-Amaga. The burden for this part of the nation was heavy, according to the
vision the Archbishop had in 1996 and 2004. Global Mission train was moving
again in the power of the Holy Ghost. They headed to Abuja to focus strongly on
the regions of the North and the Middle Belt. In 2008 February 11th Salem
International Christian Centre was inaugurated in Abuja. The focus was the
North and the Middle belt mission, regions and other Nations of the earth.
At the pioneering work in Abuja, Rev. Dan Maha, Rev.
Ezekiella Sam-Amaga, Rev. Isaiah Sam-Amaga, Pst. Joyce Sam-Amaga, Pst Paul
Itodo are the Archbishops ground breaking team. Today, the mission to the North
and the Middle belt is bearing fruit and Rev. Isaiah Sam-Amaga, Rev. Timothy
Attah, Rev. Dan Maha, and Rev. Paul Itodo with the mission council are
nurturing the work alongside with the other pastoral team and administrative
staff.

December 6, 2012
